Hi anybody of you here planning on getting red dead dedemtion for xbox 360 , did read a bit about it and it looks like a nice game bit like gta 4 but western style and bigger world. Their is somekind of freeroam multiplayer mode that sounds nice so was thinking on buying it when it hits the stores.

Got it today for xbox today since they didnt announce a pc version yet , only played a couple of hours so far but it looks like a nice game .

Well i rather played it on pc to but since their are no real plans on them for releasing on pc i did pick it up on box . And seeying how great they ported gta 4 to pc with its performing issues i rather play rockstar game on console if it would turn out like that again

Yeah, they really screwed it up with gta 4 on pc. It seemed to be hardly optimized for it. As if they just didn't care to.
If you look at similar games for pc, they perform a lot better with the same hardware.

Rockstar are particularly lazy with their ports to other platforms.
The Xbox360 version of RDR is better (runs at higher resolution) than the PS3 version despite the PS3 being the more powerful machine, purely because they Xbox360 is their preferred development platform.

lol are you guys serious? you would rather play a blurry low fps version of gta 4 on the console? lolol lol er lol
gta 4 is horrible on the consoles.
as long as you have a quad cpu on the pc, its runs and looks amazing. ppl say its a bad port but only because rockstar have given the option to increase the graphics way beyond what the toys use, and so their crappy pcs die on their arses. oh and r* have released a lot of patches which have unlocked a lot of tweakable graphics options. crap console ports dont have those.

Let's face it, gta 4 is not optimized in its code for pc. I do have a quad-core and although I don't have the newest gfx card (8800gts), it doesn't run as smooth as other games with similar graphics. Needing a SLI setup to be able to run a game is not 'optimized' in my book.
You can stop defending pc, because that's not being attacked. It's R* being attacked for not caring enough about pc to actually optimize their code. You can't say R* does care about pc gamers can you?

Console gaming has it's place - it doesn't have to be one or the other. Of course a £1500 PC is gonna run things better than a £200 console.
But: it's not about the machine, it's about the games. Find me a PC that I can play these absolute beauties on: RDR, Unchartered 2, God of War 3, Guitar Hero, Ratchet & Clank, Super Mario Galaxy, Okami, Infamous, Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, etc.
Limiting yourself to one platform means you miss out on a shitload of awesome.

but the one game i do want an xbox for is dead rising. just because of the fact i was in nz when it came out and has some good memories.
