Modern Warfare 2

Post by Elhaz » 22 Nov 2009, 18:27

Anyone played it yet? Completed single player yesterday. Was ok, quite short and when nearing end it got quite cheesy...

Multiplayer is amusing. Sometimes lags like hell, but it can be my lousy connection too. I'm getting owned quite hard, but i'm using "i haven't played any fps online for 5 years" excuse.

Haven't had chance to test those 2-player maps yet, so i can't really say anything about it. Seems rather interesting though.

Overall it is quite nice game. But being forced to register it to steam is rather annoying.

Yeah, I played it at a lanparty, no lag there. Played single player a bit, not complete yet though, playing borderlands instead atm.
The 2-player missions are a lot of fun, so get a friend to join you.

CoD6 is good fun, been kinda obsessed with it over the last few weeks. started getting bored or borderlands and the new "expansion" they released was completed within an hour.

at the end of the day CoD6's main attraction in the Co-op missions. now THOSE are good fun on veretan! lol. as for online unfortunatly there are still bug issues that will hoepfully be cleaned up (like the javelin exploit, you know the one i mean ;) lol) but all in all i'm loving in. then again i've only just stopped playing the first one online. and thats only cuz the new ones out xD

<!Spoiler alert, don't read this if you don't want to!>

Jaera wrote:yeah apart from being pretty much the opposite..
Two things:
- chase around (in mw you're being chased, in mw2 you are chasing)
- you get overwhelmed by the enemy (in mw you are simply surrounded and everyone around you gets shot with you lying on the ground helpless until you can reach for a pistol to shoot the nemesis in one final try, in mw2 your friend is down being kicked and you reach for the knife that he threw in you and you have to throw it at the nemesis in one final try)

So, the opposite you're talking about is chased vs chasing and pistol vs knife? In both cases you're lying on the ground incapacitated and having one final lucid moment in which you have to kill the bad guy.

Ah, you like a good ending then :P.

I liked how they killed you after that mission where you obtain the info and the general kills ghost and you by burning you. Ofcourse, there was also the ending of the airport mission where you were also killed, but the second one was more dramatic as you just survived being totally outnumbered and running for your life only to be killed by the only friendlies in the area.
