Thanks for your interest in The Raven Council. Here's a little information about us!

About the guild.

The Raven Council on Defias Brotherhood is a long-standing guild with a good, solid community. We've been around since 2005 and have adapted to new expansions and players, so the guild won't spontaneously combust any time soon! Our focus this expansion has largely been raiding and general PvE goodness, with a bit of PvP for those who enjoy it. We accept social applications as well as raider applications, please read below for how to apply.

PvE

The Raven Council strives to progress through all end-game content. If you're interested in raiding regularly, we currently field a Heroic+ team, and may have a spot for you in it! If you'd like to apply as a raider, please pick up the [Raider] application form, otherwise choose the [Social] form.

The raid team (previously known as RG2) is going strong in BfA, currently having cleared heroic Battle for Dazar'Alor and is now strengthening the roster to move into Mythic. The group currently raids five to six hours per week, Sunday and Wednesday, and is lead by Fahranya. You can find more details about the group and their recruitment Here.

As well as "heroic plus" progress raiding, we also hold the occasional alt raid and various fun runs through older content!

PvP

The Raven Council doesn't currently have any official PVP teams. However, some of our more PVP-oriented members are often found grouping for arenas and RBGs. If you're interested in PVP, feel free ask around, join a current group, or if you're interested in leading something yourself, feel free to organise some new pre-mades/teams!

About our members (and possibly you).

You should be at least 16 years old to join the guild. The Raven Council strives to keep guild chat as mature as possible, but.. we can't guarantee it's always suitable for minors!

Maturity is something we value highly in our members. We treat each other as real living people and, even if we disagree at times, we afford each other the respect and understanding that we wouldn't always engage for.. I dunno, Ogres? Screw those guys. We like to think of the guild as a big group of friends more than just a collection of members. The harmony of our guild chat is very important to us. It's not the place for arguing or trolling - it's a place to unwind after a long day, to enjoy the company of like-minded people, and to experience the game with your fellow guildies.

We'd very much like to remain a well-respected guild on the server, so we expect our members to please show consideration, and not act like complete twats, towards other players in the game. If you're a self-confessed internet troll, this probably ain't the guild for you. ;)

Most of our members have lives outside of the game.. We do not require you spend any minimum amount of time online. All we ask is if you're going offline for a significant period of time (a few month or so) then you let us know. It's a big guild, so every so often we do need purge very inactive characters in order to make space for fresh ones.

Character names

The Raven Council insists that all members obey the Realm policies at all times.
This of course applies to character names as well.

Blizzard's RP-realm Naming Policy
Violations include:
- Offensive language
- Non-medieval or non-fantasy names (for example: Slipnslide, Robotman, Technotron).
- Names that reference well known people, characters, places, or icons (for example: Britneyspears, Austinpowers, Mcdonalds, Georgewashington, Newyork).
- Names that consist of multiple words (for example: Inyourface, Welovebeef, Howareyou).
So no, we won't invite your alts named "beastpriest", "swagloljk" or "jonsnow", sorry. :]
For names that violate Blizzard's policy, you can usually 'turn yourself in', and get a GM to change it for you for free.

Applying to The Raven Council.

If you've managed to read all of the above and still think we are the guild for you (and you are the member for us) then we would be interested in your application. To apply, simply create an account and start a new thread in this Recruitment Forum, using either the Social or the Raider application templates.

Once you've applied, please be patient. We require at least three officers to agree on any applicant, which can take a little while sometimes. If your application is accepted then you will be contacted in game, or in your application thread, so it helps if you subscribe to the thread.

And Finally.

If you think we are the guild for you or not, we wish you the best of luck finding a home!
