Who are you?
I'm Alex, 35. Living with my partner and our child (8yo) in our own home in Belgium in a very rural area in a small town in Flanders.
Activity & Guild History
Okay so this is where it gets maybe a little (?) awkward.
Guild history simply put:
1) Well Of Wisdom from Vanilla through TBC (Disbanded)
2) Embers Rising from LK through Mop (Disbanded)
3) Raven Council from Mop through Dragonflight S3
4) Neo Conquest from Dragonflight S3 up until today Tww S2
Starting in Dragonflight S1, together with my good friend Faeryn, i decided to pick up raiding again after years of skipping raiding all together. I went in real hard and this caused all sorts of issues for my personal schedule and private life. There was also this discussion on the multiple raidgroups, i felt i was burning out again and needed a timeout.
I've discussed this heavily with Fahranya and in good faith and agreement i had decided to pursue raiding at the time elsewhere, in Neo Conquest, that more properly fit with my RL schedule.
Now a few years later, due to changes in career paths in our family, my wife opening her own supermarket shop, i have decided to go on a full leave from raiding, focussing on social aspects, story, collection and more RPG elements the game offers outside of competitive PVE content.
My current guild is extremely active for raiding but outside of that i'm always online alone. This is what made me decide to get back in touch with you guys for the cozy feelings. There is no place like it... Moving past my raiding days to hang out with the team here is what i feel i need to keep interest in the game and hope i can contribute to the collective.
Also, dude, the player housing, can we like get a Gnome neighbourhood going? How wicked would that be?

I think i can mention some good friends here, Faeryn of course but given the long period i've been with Raven as a social in the past i'm confident people like Lampris, Jingles, Pawl, Vaelyn, Nethelor, Fahranya, Jimmble (does this mean more gnomes? - potentially YES), can also reckognise the name (and fame? *shrugs*)
About you
Been playing since vanilla, little to no interest in classic due to time constraints irl. I play all sort of games and remain young at heart for my family and daughter obviously. Prefer pop and punk rock music. Not a real film or Tv series guy, been watching 'Lost' on repeat for like 5 times now.
Professional life i'm an information security expert for a large org, and WFH a lot.
Aside Wow, I really liked Elden ring, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding (now playing through DS2) but also love platformers like Astro Bot or games like Diablo, basicly all sort of genres. Just no FIFA or NBA..
I try to go running about 4 times per week and cycle to work during the summer. The only competitive sports i follow casually is skateboarding.
